Who can give me a little advice about a wild orphan kitten?

.

I found a wild kitten whos family had all been separated not far from my house. I saw it running and trying to find food in my property. After running around my house and in a paddock I finally caught it.
It was most certainty wild. I bought him inside, feed him, gave him water. He was extremely affectionate after that. I love this lil kitten so much. Lol we were friends within 15 minutes. I had a dog and a cat and my mum said that she does not want me to keep it. I can feed it, just away from the house in the paddock behind us. It just wants food, shelter water and love. I took it to this big old tree pile, made some shelter from old bucket I found, left a bowl of food and water.

I can walk away and the kitten stays there, all on his lonesome. I come back to keep him company with food etc and he give me a cuddle.
I guess he thinks I’m his new mother who is going hunting for food for him. It’s so cute. I just feel so sad that I have to leave him all out there all night and majority of day, My mum says I have to change my clothing after seeing it incase he has mange or some kitten disease, that will spread to my other two pets.
His ears are strange like a Scottish fold x lynx’s ears. But the tips of his ears are hard and slightly crusty. It’s strange; I hope it’s not kidney disease causing the tips of his ears to go like that,

I can’t afford the vet bill, injectsions and whatever is wrong with his ears. I’m sure if he had his kitten. I get paid next week, my mum forbids me to spend that money on the kitten, even though it’s not her money. The poor kitten is out for ages by itself, and at that age they need company for long periods of the day, I wish I could bring it to my house so I know it’s safe and hasn’t been picked up by and owl or attacked by a possum or other cat or something.
And I don’t want to pester the animal shelter, it’s just a small animal shelter, I’m sure they all ready have their hands full. This kitten won’t starve at all. He’s quite tamed now…. Sorry if I babbled on a bit.

Are there any bad infectious diseases he may have?

Just say he had none I’m sure I could keep him.

Thanks

This may be an indication of an ear infection or an ear mite infestation. The differences between the two require diagnosis by a veterinarian checking swab samples from the ears under a microscope. Then, the appropriate treatment for the infection or mites can be prescribed. The crusty debris comes from the irritation and damage done to the skin inside the ears and on the ear tips from the infection. If the ears themselves have become that significantly damaged, then this may be a serious infection or there may be another cause such as chemical exposures or burns. I have seen a few pets run under a car and have areas burned from contact with a muffler. I would strongly advise seeking veterinary care as soon as possible, so that they can evaluate the damage and determine if there is treatments, surgery, or medications that may help with burns or to see if there are other causes of the damage.Costs may vary, and it depends if they find a minor or a major issue. Ear infections in general may result in costs of $75 to 150 or in that range, where more severe burns or infections, especially if surgery is needed, may cost significantly more.

If the cost of veterinary care is an issue, there are a number of charitable groups that may help you.

good for you for feeding the kitten but now you have to take the next step and allow it to find a home where it will get all the love, attention and vet care it needs to become a strong, healthy and happy adult cat..
its no bother turning in an animal in need to your local animal shelter…its their pleasure helping them become healthy and find happy homes…
yes without proper vet care the kitten can become ill, get injured or even worse..
please take the kitten to the local animal shelter and let it find a home indoors..

I’m sorry to tell you this, but at the point you allowed the kitten to be dependent on you, you became responsible for him.

It’s very likely that he needs treatment, you really need to figure out a way to take him to the vet. Believe me, I understand. You see a little kitten and all you want to do is save him, but it’s definitely not free.

If you can’t take care of him, you are obligated to find another home for him. Ads for free animals usually don’t cost anything, or you could see if you could post something at your local vet’s office.

    Good Luck!

just take it to your local pet shelter, they are more than happy to take in animals. the kitten most likely has ear mites or some kind of an infection. if u can’t afford the vet bills u have to give it up, i know it’s hard. I find kittens all the time around my house and want to keep em, but i have two cats already, and u have a dog and a cat, be happy with what you have and do the right thing.
