the Mioritic is originary from Romania, they`re really great, when you see one live, you`ll understand why:)

    10. chococatmixup says:

The Mioritic shepard is a romanian breed, they are commonly used for guarding sheep and cattle. We have a lot of them here, naturally, they`re amazing, great to look at and very intelligent. They`re great dogs, very massive but mild-tempered and smart.I have a Moscow watchdog and i`m falling in love with the breed day by day.

Like any dog, it depends on how they are trained from puppy stage. My bitch, Kizzy took longer to house break than the male, Cooper so there is no one-size-fits-all answer. They are goofy fun dogs with tons of personality. They do have a mind of their own and will assert it now and then.

    15. kunzy3000 says:

@InspectorDana are they easy to housebreak?
do they listen to voice command?

    16. tzetzekaze says:

the mioritic sheepdog is nor a reare breed…..visit the romanian mountains and you’ll see that it’s not rare

The Chinese Chongqing dog is kindda interesting I had never heard of it.I own two Spanish Alanos wich at once were considered exticnt, but are still rare,at least here in the US.Looking up info on the Chinese dog.

Glad to see you included Otterhounds. There are less than a thousand of these guys in the world. I have two, a 3 year old bitch and a one year old male. The bitch is an AKC & UKC Champion and the male is half way there already. Both are shown in AKC confirmation.

Moscow Watchdog looks like St Bernards to me 🙂

Love the list, but it just seems like everyone is startin to obsess over these new and obscure breeds, while forgetting about the old tried an true. Rottweilers have been around for hundreds of years an r still just as bad ass as ever. Boxers r no slouches either. An remember, dr carl semencic said he beleived the apbt was the baddest dog on the planet. New or unknown doesnt nessecarily mean better

    23. ExclusiveCQD says:

Excellent. Chinese Chongqing Dogs are very rare, if not the rarest breed today, and also ancient breed. Only 3 breeders outside of mainland China, I am proud to be one of them. The dog you used to present the breed is now owned by me. Indeed a interesting and fascinating breed. w…chongqingdog/dot/eu

    24. HeidiSurette24 says:

OMG Nooo you forgot Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever ( Little River ) them dogs are so rare allot of people never herd of them and they can only be found in Canada, NS
( unless someone got one and moved somewhere else and then that dog had pups )
I have one well it’s a mix Little River and Golden Retriever
There prob the rarest dog ever
