Rabbit question – What to use on the bottom of C&C cage/condo (wire storage cube squares) for my Pet Rabbits?

.

Hi! I’m building a rabbit condo for 2 rabbits that I’m getting. They are litter trained, so I’m wondering what I can put on the floor of the cage and on the floor of the second level? I thought about coroplast, but would that be too slippy? I also thought about those interlocking rubber mats, but would the rabbits chew them. Also, I’ve seen people use carpet, but don’t the rabbits try to chew it?
So, what do you think I should use? I want something that’s easy to clean and something the rabbits won’t chew too much.
All answers greatly appreciated. Best answer will be chosen (10 points.)
Thanks,
Trish

You can use cloroplast. It’s easy to clean and won’t absorb any smells if they have an accident. Just put about 2-3 inches of soft, nontoxic bedding down over it. I use CareFresh. It’s great at controlling odor, very absorbant (though it rarely gets peed on), comfortable on a rabbits feet, and doesn’t contain anything toxic for your rabbits. I won’t use anything else! Good luck!
