For 3 weeks. Would it be ok to keep her on the bed tonight or not.
I don’t think letting dogs sleep in bed with you is a good idea. For one thing, is that going to be a permanent thing? Will she ALWAYS be allowed in bed with you? If not, then you should be consistent and not let her sleep with you. For another, you could easily end up with some dominance issues. The leader of a pack gets to sleep in the highest, most comfortable spot. Your bed is the highest, most comfortable spot in the house. Ergo, if your dog gets to sleep in the highest, most comfortable spot, she must be the pack leader. See where I’m going with this?
You can put her crate right beside your bed if you want her to be close to you. This is where my puggle girl sleeps. She’s close to me, I can hear her if she needs to go out, but she’s not in bed with me.
Crates are great for housebreaking. Once your dog is completely and totally reliably housebroken, you may let her sleep anywhere you like.
Are you intending to let her sleep on your bed every night? If not, it might be a bit confusing for your dog and she may not want to go back into her crate after sleeping on the bed with you.
Consistency is one of the most important aspects of training a dog.
