Does my cat need a scratching post, will she use it? She hasn't used the pet bed I gave her yet?
.
She plays with a toy mouse I gave her though.
Your first two answers are great so far. I think I’ll get her a scratching post sometime soon.

Honestly, cats are kinda like people – they’re all different! My first cat is a lazy princess who LOVES scratching posts, but her younger brother is a wild kitten who gets bored with them very quickly. Catnip does nothing for either one of them, and my kitten is the only one who will play with every toy he gets. So it really depends on your cat! Try looking around for a cheap scratching post, and if she loves it go ahead and purchase some more (ALL cats love being spoiled).
Yes cats love to have scratching posts 9times out of 10 they will use them
cats dont always sleep in cat beds.. they usally like to sleep where there comfortable like up high on top of something…. if she is still a kitten she wont need scratching post yet.. as she gets older she will start to kinda claw at your couches or at the carpet. my cat is going through that stage right now so i got him a emery cat and he uses it all the time…
Scratching posts are awesome and just sprinkle a little catnip on there and just watch, your cats will be all over it having a great time…. Dont be upset about the pet bed – my cats dont sleep in theirs either. They choose where they sleep, they dont want us telling them where to sleep, haha
It all depends on the personality of the cat, though most cats don’t tend to like kitty beds. They would rather be on real furniture or a high up place. A scratching post is a good idea because they like the feeling on their paws and it files down their nails. If you do not get a scratching post, it may start to scratch furniture instead. (You can get a scratching tower with a box for them to sleep in at the top, many prefer that) When you get the post, you will need to train the cat to use it. Whenever it starts to scratch something else, cary it over to the scratching post. Put cat-nip on the post to attract the cat to it.
