Can I put the dog bed in the washing machine without clogging it? ?

.

If it has a lot of hair on it will it clog the washing machine or will the hair just go through the drain? I don’t want to damage it and there isn’t really any way to get all of the hair off the bad, it is in the fibers.

I wash my dogs bed in the washer once every couple of weeks, and have never clogged up the machine.Since this is the first time washing your dogs bed, shake it out first to remove as much hair as you can, then wash it with about half a cup of pine sol to remove the doggy smell. If there is hair left in the machine after you are done, run the machine once empty.Even after washing there is usually quite a bit of hair left on the bed. I toss the dog bed in the dryer with a dryer sheet and it removes the last of the dog hair. If you wash the bed regularly the hair won’ be much of a concern, and the doggy smell will be a thing of the past. I have had lots of different dog beds over the years and have washed all of them in the washer and dryer with no problems, except when they come out of the dryer the pillow type of bed gets to fluffy, but the dog soon takes care of that.

The hair on my dog bed just gets caught in the lint filter on my washing machine. Before I had a washing machine without a lint filter, the hair went through the hose just fine. Just get as much hair as you can off of the bed. Also, ask around your friends to see if anyone owns a Dyson Animal Vacuum Cleaner. It will take all of the hair off! – It really will, I own one!

Just remove as many as you can beforehand or it probably will clog.
Try vacuuming first, freshen it up by adding a few drops of Zoflora to the wash.
