Back Yard Breeders who think they are the best…?

.

I love how anyone can be a "Dog Breeder". Buy 5 big barrels, 5 dog chains, 5 collars, and 5 food bowls and a bucket for water. And you are a "dog breeder". That makes me so sad.

Fullblooded or not. You can be a dog breeder. :(
Doesn’t have to have vet care. Just a breeding facility.

I’ll admit it, I bred my two pitbulls twice. I sold the puppies for ,000 a piece or more. I REGRET THIS. I do take credit for adding more unwanted or taking a chance away from other shelter dogs. :( I want to cry thinking about how irresponsible and selfish I was for breeding my dogs. NEVER again will I breed any dogs unless I plan on showing or breeding for my hobby. I love dogs. And feel a pain now knowing I could have saved dogs. :(

My question is…. what’s your thoughts when you see a website for a "dog breeder" and thier dogs are all tied up on a 10ft chain and have a barell and thats about it. Do you think they are professional just by looking at that?
I KNOW! all the schnizterfroodles here now…all i see are labradoodles for sale 6 …all that other dumb mixed breed shit. it pisses me off so much. IF they cared about thier dog…it wouldnt be havin pup EVERY 6 months….

We show our dogs. We’ve had only 3 litters in the past 4-5 years. We do every health check under the sun, plan breedings up to a year before, have homes lined up before we breed, and do everything we can to ensure our well-bred, healthy, happy puppies are going to good homes.
Our dogs are show dogs, they’re champions, we have ribbons lining the walls of our home. Most importantly, they’re our beloved pets. People who tie their dogs outside, breed them every time they can and sell off the puppies for a quick buck, and call themselves ‘dog breeders’ disgust me. They’re the least professional you can be – not only do they not care about the puppies they churn out, they don’t care about the dogs that should be in their home with them as loved pets.

I think its cruel to keep dogs tied up and I wouldn’t call them a professional anything.

I am glad you regrett adding to the pet over population. Millions- if not billions of animals are put down every year.

There is NOTHING proffesional about irresponsible breeding.

Keeping dogs on a chain is not proffessional nor having barrels for dog houses.

If people are going to keep a dog in that kind of lifestyle and condition, people shouldn’t have any dog. I’ve seen the worst of the worst and it’s horrifying and sad.

Corgi girl..: Your right. People will just go to a petstore and buy that sick little runt in the window. That’s even worse…

I understand. People now-a-days just go to their pet store, get some unhealthy runt, and breed him to the chipoodleschoodleboopoo down the street and be a breeder. It is sad.

EDIT~ I would NEVER EVER EVER get a dog from a breeder who ties their dogs up.

That really IS cruel when you see how little the dog has. The only reason we paid $75 for my white German Shepard was that they were going to put her down because she was the last left, she was the runt, and they didn’t want the chance of a fully albino dog be breeding her with her father. My dad was very surprised when mom and my sister came home with her. She’s very lucky.
